The softball catcher needs to exert him or herself as the field general. Communication on the softball field is necessary and a good catcher will take control. The catcher has the view of the entire field and can make the proper call for throws to each base.

Softball Batting Tips - Changing Your Swing

In terms of softball hitting, don’t change your swing right before the season or during the season. A new swing takes too much time to learn. You can make minor adjustments but no big chances. The best time to change your swing is right after the season.
