Forming the best team in softball game is very strenuous. As a coach, you must educate them on how to perform all the aspects in playing the softball game very well. A softball coach should teach his players how to throw, pitch and hit the ball correctly. He should also educate them on how to slide properly to prevent injuries that may happen.

Before anything else, as a coach of a softball game you should inform your players’ softball hitting techniques since it is very hard to teach proper softball hitting with more power and accuracy.  

Unluckily, there are a lot of softball coaches who do not have an idea on how to teach players in hitting the ball correctly. They only teach how to hit the ball, but that is not enough to hit the ball with accuracy and power.

Here are my softball hitting tips for you to teach your players. Consider these proper ways of softball hitting.

First, you should start by looking into each of your player's hitting skill. You could do this by letting them hit the ball quite a lot of times and find out if they are doing the right thing or not. I strongly recommend that you video tape each of your players’ softball hitting skills as this will help you analyze their skill in hitting the ball.

Let your players hear your feedback. By doing this, players will be informed if they are doing good or not. This may take a lot of your precious time but it will truly help your team become better softball hitters.

But what factors of softball hitting should you look for?

One of the factors you should look out for is the stance or your player’s standing and positioning. Educating your players the proper stance is vital for several reasons. It helps your players to keep their balance on the plate.

You should also educate your subordinates the proper way in handling the bat. Most players choke the bat, hoping that it will give them a better grip and control. It does give them a better grip, but it reduces the power of their hitting. Loosening up the grip will provide them more power to the hit.

Anticipation is also vital for your players to hit the ball with better accuracy. Educate your players to track the path of the ball for more accuracy on hitting the softball.

Generally, it's all about teaching your players the correct softball hitting procedure. When they know how to hit the ball properly, they will be capable of doing it with lesser effort but with more accuracy and force. You should build a trust to them so that you will expect confident players at the end of the day.

But you should also take a scientific method in coaching your players in doing the correct softball hitting procedure. Take your time to individually analyze the way they hit the softball so you can give each of your player specific advice on how to improve their softball hitting.
