· Deflated Volleyball
This will focus on the maintaining the knees together with a short, balanced stride. The batter will be on the T position placing a deflated volleyball between his knees. He will then make his swing while keeping his balance and the volleyball in his knees should be there until the end.
· Down on One Knee
The drill will increase your concentration on keeping the barrel above the hands when you hit a high pitch. It is not easy to hit a high pitch and the best way to so it is to tomahawk the ball. The batter is on the position where the back leg is down while the front leg is extended straight. While on this position, the ball is on a T above the shoulder level. The hands will be down while the barrel is up, doing the tomahawk.
· Inside-Outside
This will put stress on maintaining the same stride no matter what is you location. One T will be on the inside corner of the plate while the other T will be on the outside corner of the plate. Recalling the proper hitting technique, the batter should hit the inside and outside ball alternately.
· Regular T
The drill can help you to keep the head and barrel up. Before beginning the drill the T will be place in the strike zone in order for the barrel will be on the top. At first the hitter will drive his shoulder towards the outside corner of the plate. After doing this he should look on the T. the drill is done to make sure the head stays down.
· Target on the Fence
This will enhance the smooth rhythm and follow-through. This can be done by outing a target on the fence and a T for about 15-20 feet in front of the target. With the correct focus, the hitter should try to hit the target.
